# Staged support

**Accord.** A clear pathway that governs how support is offered as conflict deepens: direct conversation → peer support → mediation → structural review. At each stage, the protocol defines who can be called upon and what their role is. Drawing on transformative justice principles, the process centres the needs and agency of those harmed, supports accountability for those causing harm without abandoning them, and attends to the conditions that enabled the harm – not only the incident itself.

**Ritual.** Regular training in empathic listening, de-escalation, and perspective-taking – offered across the network so that support capacity is distributed rather than concentrated in specialists.

**Critique & Contemplation.** When patterns emerge from mediation that point to systemic rather than interpersonal causes, a structured process generates proposals for adjustment – ensuring that individual conflicts feed back into the network's structural learning.
