# Care and support

The care and support area governs how the network attends to the wellbeing of its members. It includes protocols for:

**Mutual support** – how groups attend to each other's wellbeing.

**Welcoming** – how new members enter relationship with the network.

Each protocol requires [ritual, critique and contemplation](/every-protocol-has-three-inseparable-layers.md) attending to: who carries the relational weight, who feels at home, and whose care is invisible.

This area is sketched at the principles level; its specific protocols remain to be developed.
